The Kingsway-Lambton Art Show & Sale was launched in 1998.
Searching for a fundraising event to help support a number of community charities and with the initial professional guidance of Judy Smith of Westmount Gallery, a group of dedicated members of Kingsway-Lambton United Church began inviting established juried artists and young emerging talent to come together for a show and sale.
From the beginning, the volunteers had a vision that bringing together talented artists in the community and beyond in an Art Show & Sale would create a colourful, interesting, stimulating venue for art lovers of all ages to come together, mingle, talk art / buy art, enjoy delicious cookies, drink a good cup of coffee and … most importantly, raise funds for those in need.
Over the last twenty-three years, more than 300 distinguished artists have displayed and sold their art, and over $500,000 has been distributed to local charities, under the auspice of the United Church Women (UCW)!
This much-anticipated spring event continues to attract a growing number of art enthusiasts to a day of colour and exuberance, providing an opportunity to meet and learn from the artists…and raise significant funds to support those in need in the community.
In 2021 and again in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and health guidelines, the Kingsway-Lambton Art Show & Sale moved online to a 10-day event featuring 31 Canadian artists offering almost 600 pieces of art – a range of work and a variety of mediums (glass, wood, jewelry and artwork), to ensure there is something for everyone.
Our artist selection committee searches out reputable and talented artists as well as emerging artists. So shop with confidence knowing that our gallery of artists are among the best.
